The world is a potpourri

The world is a potpourri.

The world is a potpourri of colours, ethnicities, personalities, and races.
We live in this troublesome but wonderful world, in which some seek a higher power to believe in, others believe only in themselves, and some become endless seekers.

How are adversaries faced? Who do we seek when the going gets tough, and how do we overcome life’s hard knocks? Is the light at the end of the tunnel visible to everyone, and how can we see it?

This and much more are covered in today’s article. Let us seal Pandora’s box, banish all evil, and hold on to God as our only hope for a better world and future.

Don’t allow logic to interfere with faith.

How can we persevere under harsh circumstances and hope for a better life, future, inner peace, and dignity? Isn’t waking up to a mundane, mentally agonising, and hopeless life heart-wrenching?

Living without hope is one of the hardest things for our souls.

Some people, during their hard times, want to believe in God but hesitate. A higher power frightens everyone and allows logic and thoughts to create doubt and fear.

People fear that God will not forgive their trespasses and bad choices, and doubt God’s role in their lives. Undoubtedly, it’s human nature to be suspicious of something genuinely good, pure, and Holy.

We have been taught that whatever shines is not gold, and whatever is too good can’t be true.

Why destroy our chance with God? Isn’t God merciful, forgiving, and loving? Therefore, why don’t we give faith a chance by allowing God into our lives?

How long is too long?

There’s no concept of time when it comes to God. Faith isn’t something that can be measured with time.

All of us are so different but simultaneously alike. We all seek inner peace, a purpose, and to fill that void in our souls.

The time it takes every individual to believe and strengthen their faith differs according to their perception, knowledge of the Divine, and willingness.

Additionally, we all have a different relationship with God. Some of us have an intimate relationship with God, and others have a more typical one.

On the other hand, some people believe that God will miraculously change their lives if they accept Him and believe in Him.

When that doesn’t happen straight away, they lose hope and faith. People don’t realise that God is not a magic wand that will change their lives from one moment to another.

All changes take time, and if someone wants to change their life, they must first change themselves. It takes time for faith to strengthen and to create an intimate relationship with God.

Undoubtedly, all relationships need work; it’s no different with God.

The only thing needed in this Divine relationship is an open mind, a willing heart, and trust.

To sum up,

Fear and uncertainty have caused humanity to turn away from God.

People mistrust their deservingness of salvation and fear that God will never pardon their transgressions and poor decisions.

All of the above are simply worries because our Lord is like the father whose son ran away to gamble his riches in another nation, and the shepherd who lost his one sheep.

He waits patiently each day for us to come back to Him, put our faith in Him, and put our confidence in Him.

We should believe that everything will work out and put our trust in Him.

Our loving God is the only hope remaining in Pandora’s box. That white dove, breathlessly awaiting release to light our path through the night.

God knows what is best for each of us and wants us to return to Him; God wants everyone to return home.

Amen
