The Word of God – The Bible

The Bible is the living word of God. His words and teachings are relevant today and apply to every circumstance.

Undoubtedly, the bible is a guide to righteous living, strengthens our faith, and provides us with food for our souls.

The Old Testament

The Old Testament is fascinating, full of stories concerning the world’s creation and humanity.

In addition, it includes testimonies of prophets, the lives of kings and queens and their adventures, psalms, proverbs, and prophecies.

Throughout the Old Testament, we’re introduced to our Creator and learn how we came to be.

We learn how patient, loving, caring, accepting, generous, loyal, faithful, and considerate our God is.

Moreover, we’re given prayers in the form of psalms for every circumstance in our lives and the Ten Commandments.

By reading the proverbs, we learn how to live a righteous and godly life.

Therefore, the Bible is a guide to Christian and godly living, full of advice, teachings, and lessons that provide comfort, understanding of the world and our Creator, clarity, and counsel.

The New Testament

Throughout the New Testament, we’re introduced to God’s unconditional love for humanity in the form of Jesus Christ.

We become witnesses to Jesus’ life through the eyes of the Apostles.

The Apostles give detailed descriptions of Jesus’ teachings, miracles, and life. In addition, we discover how loving, sensitive, open-minded, understanding, charitable, wise, caring, humble, and humanitarian Christ is.

What’s more, we learn through Jesus how to navigate life the right way, how to be kind, loving, and accepting, how to persevere, be discerning, humble, and just, and how to stand up for what is right.

Additionally, in the New Testament, we find out how Jesus gifted us with the Holy Communion, which is His flesh and blood, and how He set humanity free from mortal sin, gifting us a chance at eternal life through His resurrection.

Toward the end, we’re taught how He founded Christianity and His church, and we’re given a set of events prior to His second coming.
