Living in Fellowship with God

Living in Fellowship with God

Living in fellowship with God involves embracing His morals, values, and ethics, by leading a righteous life, and honouring His Ten Commandments.

Inner Peace

Cultivating an intimate relationship with God encourages us to adopt His values and principles, guiding us to live righteously and in a manner pleasing to Him. As we deepen our understanding of God’s word, we gain discernment, learning to distinguish between right and wrong.

This enlightenment heals our hearts and enables us to view the world through God’s loving perspective. We begin to see others with greater compassion, kindness, and understanding. Eventually, we end up achieving inner peace and harmony by eliminating hate, pain, doubt and fear.

Morals vs. Ethics

Morals are personal guiding principles that help us differentiate right from wrong, influenced by societal norms, personal experiences, and individual beliefs. In contrast, ethics involve principles of right and wrong established by specific groups or communities.

While morals are more ideological, driven by a desire to be good, and grounded in personal belief, ethics are practical, defining acceptable behaviour within a community or group.

By living in fellowship with God and studying His word—The Bible, we learn how to live righteously. The Ten Commandments, which embody both moral and ethical principles, are central to this understanding. These commandments guide us toward peace and harmony, both within our relationships and in broader society.

The Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments offer a framework for personal and communal peace, grounded in morals and ethics that foster thriving communities. Here is the list of the Ten Commandments:

  1. You shall have no other gods before Me.

  2. You shall not make for yourself a graven image.

  3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

  4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

  5. Honour your father and your mother.

  6. You shall not kill.

  7. You shall not commit adultery.

  8. You shall not steal.

  9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.

  10. You shall not covet.

Applying these commandments in our lives fosters inner harmony and can lead to global peace. When all individuals embrace these principles, conflicts in the name of religion will diminish, and issues such as racism, crime, divorce, family disputes, and injustice will decrease.

God and Humanity

Accepting the Holy Trinity as the true living God can pave the way for world peace. With a shared belief in God, humanity can unite as one family, free from discrimination, hate, and injustice. Communities will bond in love, compassion, and mutual support, leading to a peaceful and harmonious world where crime and conflict are minimised.

In Conclusion

Living in fellowship with God and adhering to His values, morals, and ethics fosters peace and harmony within communities. As these principles spread globally, they pave the way for world peace. By anchoring ourselves in God’s teachings, we navigate life’s challenges with calm and purpose.

Amen
