God’s creatures and superstitions
So many people believe in superstitions that degrade God’s creatures. The most common ones are about black cats or a crow crossing one’s path.
Before I go into detail regarding these marvellous creatures, I’m going to ask a few questions.
When you see a person of colour, do you knock on wood?
Do you spit into your shirt or cross the street?
Why is it any different when an animal is black?
Cats are intelligent and playful creatures that belong in the Felidae family. They make excellent pets, are adventurous, independent and incredibly playful.
In addition, Crows are incredibly intelligent, mate for life, and can remember faces. Moreover, crows have regional dialects, they hold funerals for the deceased, have huge brains, can make tools, and the list of amazing qualities these remarkable creatures embody is endless.
These amazing creatures are no different from us or our fellow human beings of colour.
God has made all His creatures unique and magnificent. No animal or human is completely alike, not even twins.
Let’s stop giving power to these ridiculous superstitions and start providing love and care to these beautiful animals, which require our protection.
