Imitating Apostles and Saints

Imitating Apostles’ and Saints’

Imitating the Apostles’ and Saints’ ethos, behaviours, morals, and acts draws us closer to God. The Apostles committed their lives to spreading God’s word and serving Him.

They helped spread the gospel worldwide, and as a result, people became Christians. Therefore, we shall earn salvation if we strive to emulate their enthusiasm, devotion, and humility.

Seeing the world through God’s eyes

God regards His children with love and compassion. He works ceaselessly every day, and his main concern is the salvation of our souls.
The same is true for the Apostles and Saints, who have served God over the centuries. They left their mark on the world, and billions continue to celebrate, love, and honour them today.

Our responsibility is to continue their work today while embodying their inner qualities and virtues. They embody qualities such as compassion, kindness, consideration, humility, charity, honesty, understanding, patience, and love.

The attributes listed above help us become better individuals, less judgmental, and more forgiving. Furthermore, they promote inner peace and a sense of purpose. One of these purposes is to help one another.
Therefore, being compassionate allows us to be more understanding and tolerant of each other.

How to Imitate the Apostles’ and Saints’.

The Bible contains numerous chapters dedicated to the works of the Apostles. The “Acts” is a highly well-known book. Reading the Bible provides an understanding of how to live morally.

Furthermore, we learn about the Ten Commandments and Jesus’ teachings. As a result, we learn that God Himself taught through example. In the Book of John, chapter 13:15-16, Jesus washes His disciples’ feet.

Jesus said, “I have set up an example for you so that you will do just what I have done for you.”

God himself came and served humanity with humility and compassion. As a result, we must serve one another with compassion and humility because no one is superior to the other.
Therefore, “to love one another” is the second greatest commandment Jesus taught us.

Love one another.

One of the most important commandments Jesus gave when questioned was to love one another. Imagine a world free of hatred, violence, war, prejudice, judgment, bullying, and darkness.

A world full of light, compassion, justice, and love. Furthermore, a society in which everyone is eager to provide a helping hand, a world full of hope and goodwill.
What a blessing that would be.

We possess the keys to a better future for humanity and have been given the tools that lead to the salvation of our souls.

How can we achieve this, you may ask?

First and foremost, we must begin with ourselves. One individual at a time.
Prayer has the power to heal our hearts, and once we’re healed, we can help others.
When people believe in God, pray, and read His Word, they begin to transform. As a result, they become more thoughtful, patient, understanding, and compassionate.

This happens because God’s light shines upon their souls. Darkness fades, and the heart heals. As a result, we begin to care more about others, becoming less selfish and more helpful.
God’s light can change our lives, heal our hearts, and offer us hope.

In conclusion,

If we could see each other through God’s eyes, we would be more compassionate and loving.
Jesus’ disciples and saints exemplify characteristics and inner qualities that others should emulate. When we accept God into our lives and study His word, we transform.

As a result, our hearts recover, and we gain clarity. This permits us to be more empathetic, kind, and understanding towards others.
Therefore, we become less judgmental, more patient, helpful, and thoughtful. This world can become an idyllic place to live in and be full of hope.

With Jesus, this is possible; without Jesus, it’s impossible.

Amen
