Myths among Christians
Myths among Christians exist due to misinformation and false doctrines.
Christians and non-believers become confused, and faith dissipates when misinformation about our Lord and faith takes centre stage.
People seeking to believe shy away from getting to know our loving God. In this article, I will set the record straight once and for all.
Secular music and attire
The music itself has been gifted to us by God. In a nutshell, all knowledge has been gifted to humanity by our Creator.
Many Christians believe that secular music is demonic, and that is false. We tend to mould things according to our ideologies, perceptions, and tastes.
It all comes down to personal preferences. Never has our Lord mentioned anything about music or attire.
Our Creator does not judge us on our taste in music or attire.
He doesn’t judge us when we sin either; He guides us lovingly to make the right choices and decisions.
As long as a song doesn’t honour the devil or demons with its lyrics, we can listen to anything we want.
In addition, attire is a personal choice. Do you think God judges our appearance?
No, He does NOT! He judges our hearts, intentions, and actions.
When the time comes, God will not judge us by how we turn up, whether covered in expensive clothing or rags. Our merciful and loving God will judge us for our actions and inactions, for what we have done or failed to do.
Cursing
On the contrary, swearing is something that everyone should avoid as it doesn’t honour a good soul.
However, blaspheming the Lord, the Holy Spirit, or His Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, is a sin.
In addition, swear phrases such as “Go to hell” are chants for the devil.
Never use this phrase if you don’t want your life to be ruined by him.
Also, “damn you God” as you damn and blaspheme God, and that way you push His Holiness away from you.
It’s exactly like saying “Damn you, father or brother”. Damn means to be condemned by God to suffer eternal punishment.
So by cursing God, you insinuate that you’re God-like and capable of condemning God. It’s blasphemy at the least.
Don’t do unto others what you don’t want to be done unto you. Never use God’s name in vain and do not blaspheme His Holy presence.

Prayer and the Bible.
Prayer sustains our soul, hence we don’t die a spiritual death, and we don’t feel like dead men walking in this physical world.
Our connection with God is established through prayer, as prayer is the dial tone to Heaven.
It opens the veil that separates Earth from Heaven and connects us to God.
How we pray and where we pray is a personal choice. Thus, how often we pray has to do with everyone’s personal need for Divine connection.
Our prayer is our love language to God – we worship and praise His glory through prayer.
In addition, a prayer is a tool for forgiveness, deliverance, or requests.
The Bible has many prayers that have been used for centuries for every single human need, such as help, protection, deliverance, and forgiveness.
As for the Bible itself, many people claim that it’s man-written. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
Both the Old and New Testaments are God-breathed. What that means is that the apostles and prophets wrote it through the Holy Spirit. God’s Holy Spirit was guiding the minds and hands of these men.
Icons
On the other hand, icons that depict our Lord Jesus Christ in a loving and honouring manner are acceptable throughout Christianity.
There’s no rule when it comes to icons. An icon that depicts our Christ with His Mother, which has been painted in Italy, can be revered in Armenia.
Holy Icons that are known for their miracles travel from one side of the world to the other so worshippers can benefit from their healing miracles.
Therefore, again, it comes down to personal choice. Christians do not worship the wood or the picture. They worship our Heavenly Father.
Icons are merely a reminder and a window to Heaven.
The same way a soldier carries a picture of his wife in his wallet and gains strength from it whenever he sees it. Likewise, it’s for Christians.
Jesus Christ is a real person witnessed by millions of people. The first icon was created by Apostle Luke with the blessing of God.
Hence, icons are “photographs” of Jesus and His Mother.
Myth: God doesn't love sinners.
This is the ultimate myth. God loves everyone, and this is the reason He gives everyone the chance to repent.
Our Lord does not frown upon our sins; on the contrary, His heart breaks when He sees us in pain due to our own mistakes and wrongdoings.
Everyone has a chance for redemption, even murderers.
Redemption and salvation are for everyone, regardless of beliefs.
God wants everyone to be saved. It’s our reluctance and inability to forgive ourselves that stop us from finding God and seeking His forgiveness.
For humans, it’s very hard to forgive another human being who has wronged us. Let alone when it comes to ourselves, we are even harsher.
Learning to forgive ourselves first and foremost allows us to forgive others.
Don’t be harsh on yourselves, repent, and allow God to forgive you by forgiving yourself.
Self-harm and abortion.
When a self-inflicted death occurs in the Christian community, it’s considered a sin.
This is utterly false; self-harming isn’t a sin.
Our loving Heavenly Father knows and has felt the pain that person felt. He knows how hard a decision it was, and He would never condemn a lost soul.
Life is the most precious gift of all, and we must cherish it every day of our lives.
We only get one chance to live, and every person is unique and precious in their own way.
If you have any thoughts of harming yourself or you know anyone who suffers from self-harming thoughts, contact your country’s helpline.
Here you will find a list of all helplines worldwide in Alphabetical order.
We’re all God’s children, and He loves us all very much.
God’s heart aches and is inconsolable whenever a person harms themselves. He can see the potential in every single one of us.
On the contrary, abortion is a sin except when it involves rape.
God doesn’t condemn these women who have gone through the brutal ordeal of rape, and they don’t want to keep the baby as a reminder of their horrific ordeal.
Therefore, under circumstances that involve consent, always use protection to avoid an unwanted pregnancy.
In conclusion
Misinformation and false doctrine have spread throughout the centuries among Christians.
This has resulted in animosity between Christians and has divided communities.
Our Lord is loving, forgiving, compassionate, understanding, and merciful.
He doesn’t judge and doesn’t condemn us for every single thing we choose to do.
The intentions we have, together with our actions, are what will determine His final judgment.
Prayer illuminates our souls and minds and guides us to make the right choices in life.
Before making a decision, pray upon it, and the answer will be given to you.
Don’t be quick to judge your fellow human being for their actions. God doesn’t judge any of us and gives everyone a chance to repent.
Secular music, attire, self-harm, and the worship of icons are not a sin.
As long as we honour God in our hearts and show Him the desired respect He deserves, He does not condemn us for our personal tastes.
Moreover, our Lord’s true intentions and heart have been misinterpreted and misunderstood for centuries.
His love knows no bounds; it’s unconditional and undying.
God gives us room to improve, make the right choices, feel remorse, and repent.
His love heals the hardest of hearts; that’s why He is the Alpha and Omega and the beginning and the end.
Amen
